| HAPPY NEW YEARS!  To see the list of items, click HERE. 2010 wasn't the best year for me. I think I could have done so much better on my school work, maybe been nicer to people, listen to my parents more, and so much more that I will not share aloud. Hopefully, 2011 will be a better year for me. I never make new years resolutions, I don't really believe in them, I've tried making some new years resolutions before but I've failed many times. I'm just going to try to put much more effort in my school work than last year and to stop procrastinating, spending 60% of my free time on Facebook, not good. Gosh, a whole decade, gone. 2010 was an okay, obviously it had it's ups and down, overall, not a good year for me. I need to make some serious changes for 2011... sure.... I didn't do much today. Me and my family went out for Thai food at lunch and Indian for dinner. So good. I really wanted to go to Times Square for New Years, oddly, I've never been there on News Years, it's always so crowded and so cold, it's terrible.  New Years in Times Square, NY. January 1st, 2010. -t Christmas is finally here. Like most Chinese people, we don't have elaborate Christmas dinners, gift openings on Christmas morning, and watch Miracle on 34th street, however, we did have a Christmas dinner last night, nothing fancy, it just consisted of a mini turkey, baked potatoes, broccoli, loose corn, and apple cider. On Christmas day, we went to Rockefeller Center, Times Square and Chinatown (It's a Christmas tradition for my family). Walked around, admired the Christmas tree from afar (it's always to crowded) and took pictures. We wanted to go to Red Lobster to have lunch at 3:30 PM, they told us 15-20 minutes... 20 minutes goes by... 30 minutes goes by... 50 minutes goes by... we decide to leave and yell at the employees. Then, we went to Grand Central Station to see if there was any good food there, of course, most of the food shops were closed. We left, went to Chinatown and ate Malaysian food, which wasn't good at all. At least, I got a new phone.  In front of the giant Christmas tree at Rockefeller. I've been longing for the days to pass by so I could just have a care free week to myself and just chill with some friends. Today, we exchanged gifts for secret Santa, I gave my person a hardcover Beatles biography book, and she gave me some jewelry and some money. Yes, we got each other. We also built "gingerbread" houses (my group used graham crackers) for Math class, which was a waste of money and time, we ended up giving it away after school, "TAKE THE CANDY! TAKE IT! EAT IT!". A few minutes later, a 10th grader just took the whole thing out of our hands.  Our "gingerbread" house complete with reindeer shit (tiny chocolate chips) in the backyard.  "Santa's Workshop" I wore a green sweater today with a white collar around it, my Humanities teacher said it was very Christmas-y, my friends said I looked like a school girl in private school. Today, my school just went on a skating trip to Central Park, and that has resulted in my legs hurting pretty bad. The skating trip is a "requirement", everyone must attend, it's another regular school day. As we were taking the train to go back, a 20-something guy walked in, holding a ukulele, introduced himself and started playing Mr.Brightside by The Killers. I love living in New York. I have not gotten any candy, I'm not really in the Halloween spirit and it honestly does not feel like it's going to be Halloween tomorrow. I am so ashamed, I used to always be so excited for Halloween and I would always dress up; I always wanted to be a Disney princess but my parents wouldn't let me, thank god. Anyways, I'll probably stay home for Halloween or I might go out for a little because in New York you always see drunks and sluts hanging around bars screaming and yelling and Halloween is the one time where men can dress up as Disney princesses and make little girls' dreams come true.  Halloween in '08. Last year, I didn't go out at all, I stayed home watching the New York's Village Halloween Parade on TV with my mom feeling like a loner. I'm thinking about this for my costume.
